We learned the Jordan Valley is a part of the larger Jordan Rift Valley. The Jordan Valley begins at the lower course of the Jordan River from where it leaves the Sea of Galilee to where it enters the Dead Sea. This Rift Valley segment is 75 miles long and 9 miles wide.
